Overview
Prepaid resource packs allow you to purchase MPS resources before they are used. Each resource pack can only be used to deduct the resources of its corresponding feature.
Notes
A resource pack becomes valid immediately after purchase and expires one year later. Expired resource packs cannot be used for deductions.
Only accounts that are billed daily can purchase resource packs. If you switch to monthly billing, your existing resource packs will be frozen and can no longer be used.
The resources you use each day will be deducted from your resource packs first. The remaining resource usage will be billed at pay-as-you-go rates. To avoid service suspension caused by overdue payments, please pay attention to the remaining minutes in your resource packs and buy new packs or top up your account in a timely manner. You can buy multiple resource packs. The one that expires first will be used first.
Each resource pack has its own validity period. If you buy multiple packs, their validity periods will not be added up.
Each MPS resource pack can only deduct a specific type of MPS resources.
If you request a refund for a resource pack, the refund amount will be calculated based on the remaining value of the resource pack and returned to your Tencent Cloud account under specified conditions. For more information, see Refund Instructions. Your usage each day is billed the following day. A resource pack cannot be used to deduct the resources billed on the same day the resource pack is purchased (usage for the previous day).
To check the activation status and remaining amount of resource packs, go to the console and view them in Resource Pack Management as an administrator. Resource Pack Types
|
| Deducts usage generated by billable items such as MPS audio/video enhancement, media AI, image processing, media quality inspection, and watermark extraction or addition. For details on supported deduction capabilities and deduction ratios, see the MPS resource pack deduction ratio description. |
| Deducts usage generated by billable items such as MPS AI video generation, AI image generation, AI audio generation, and AI large model processing times. For details on supported deduction capabilities and deduction ratios, see the AIGC resource pack deduction ratio description. |
| Each general transcoding resource pack contains a certain number of minutes and can be used to deduct General Transcoding, Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (General Transcoding Substreams) and Video Editing (Related API Documents), regardless of the region. |
| Each TSC transcoding resource pack contains a certain number of minutes and can be used to deduct TSC Transcoding and Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (TSC Transcoding Substreams) durations regardless of the region. |
MPS Resource Pack
MPS resource packs can be used to deduct the usage generated by billable items such as audio/video enhancement, media AI, image processing, media quality inspection, and watermark extraction or addition. The deduction is not limited by region, and usage in and outside the Chinese mainland is deducted at a 1:1 ratio of the list price.
Deduction rules
You can buy multiple resource packs. If you have multiple resource packs, they will be deducted in the order of their expiration time. The resource pack that expires first will be deducted first.
Billing method: The system calculates your usage of specific features in real time. The usage within the resource pack capacity is directly deducted from the remaining amount, and the excess is billed in pay-as-you-go mode. Pricing
Resource packs are converted based on 1 billing unit = 1 USD. The more billing units you purchase, the greater the official website discount you can enjoy. The maximum specification offers a 35% discount. See the following purchase examples:
|
50 | 50 | 42.5 | 15% off |
100 | 100 | 78 | 22% off |
1000 | 1000 | 720 | 28% off |
10000 | 10000 | 6500 | 35% off |
Deduction Ratio
MPS resource packs are deducted at a 1:1 ratio based on the list price of the pay-as-you-go features used. For the features that support deduction, see Billing Overview. Examples
If you use Smart Erasing - Ultimate to process 2K video for 1 minute, the list price of this feature is 11.19 USD/minute, and 11.19 billing units will be deducted from your MPS resource pack.
If you use image super-resolution to upscale a 1080P image to 2K, the list price of this feature is 0.012 USD/image, and 0.012 billing units will be deducted from your MPS resource pack.
AIGC Resource Pack
AIGC resource packs can be used to deduct the usage generated by billable items such as AI video generation, AI image generation, AI audio generation, and AI large model processing times. The deduction is not limited by region, and usage in and outside the Chinese mainland is deducted at a 1:1 ratio of the list price.
Deduction rules

Resource packs are converted based on 1 billing unit = 1 CNY. The more billing units you purchase, the greater the official website discount you can enjoy. The maximum specification offers a 20% discount. See the following purchase examples:
|
50 | 50 | 47.5 | 9.5% off |
100 | 100 | 90 | 9.0% off |
1000 | 1000 | 850 | 15% off |
10000 | 10000 | 8000 | 20% off |
Deduction Ratio
AIGC resource packs are deducted at a 1:1 ratio based on the list price of the pay-as-you-go features used. They support deduction for all capabilities under AI video generation, AI image generation, AI audio generation, AI 3D scene generation, AI music generation, and AI voice generation. For the features that support deduction, see Billing Overview. Examples
If you use Hunyuan Video Generation 1.5 to generate a 2K video for 10 seconds, the list price of this feature is 0.115 USD/second, and 1.15 billing units will be deducted from your AIGC resource pack.
If you use Hunyuan Image Generation 3.0 to generate a 2K image, the list price of this feature is 0.043 USD/image, and 0.043 billing units will be deducted from your AIGC resource pack.
General Transcoding Resource Pack
A general transcoding resource pack can deduct your usage of the General Transcoding, Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (General Transcoding Substreams) and Video Editing (Related API Documents) features of MPS. If you have bought multiple packs, the one that expires first will be used first. The system will calculate your total usage of general transcoding and adaptive bitrate streaming each day and will deduct some or all of it (depending on the remaining minutes of your resource packs) from the applicable resource packs. The usage not deducted by resource packs will be billed at pay-as-you-go rates. Deduction rules: The same deduction ratios apply to transcoding usage inside and outside the Chinese mainland.

Examples
Suppose the general transcoding feature was used to transcode a video of one minute. The H.264 codec was used and the output resolution was 640 x 480 px. One minute would be deducted from a general transcoding resource pack.
Suppose the general transcoding feature was used to transcode a video of one minute. The H.264 codec was used and the output resolution was 1280 x 720 px. Two minutes would be deducted from a general transcoding resource pack.
For adaptive bitrate streaming, the deduction for each output stream is calculated separately according to the codec and output resolution, and then the deductions are added up.
The higher the output video resolution, the faster your resource pack will be used up.
TSC Transcoding Resource Pack
A TSC transcoding resource pack can deduct your usage of the TSC Transcoding and Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (TSC Transcoding Substreams) feature of MPS. If you have bought multiple packs, the one that expires first will be used first. The system will calculate your total usage of TSC transcoding each day and will deduct some or all of it (depending on the remaining minutes of your resource packs) from the applicable resource packs. The usage not deducted by resource packs will be billed at pay-as-you-go rates. Deduction rules: The same deduction ratios apply to transcoding usage inside and outside the Chinese mainland.
