Assistant is a remote control feature of WorkBuddy AI that lets you remotely control WorkBuddy AI on your computer to execute tasks through instant messaging apps on your phone, such as WeChat, WeCom, DingTalk, Slack, Telegram, and Discord.
I. What Is Assistant
Assistant is the remote control for WorkBuddy AI on your computer.
Send a message from your phone.
WorkBuddy AI on your computer automatically executes the task.
After execution is complete, the result will be sent to your phone.
With Assistant, you can have WorkBuddy AI handle your work without sitting in front of your computer.
A single Assistant supports connecting to multiple platforms at the same time. Messages sent from different platforms go to the same conversation, so the context is continuous. For example, you can start a conversation in WeChat and continue it in Slack.
II. Supported Platforms
Assistant supports integration with the following instant messaging platforms, allowing you to choose based on your usage habits:

The platforms that can actually be integrated are those shown in Assistant Settings. The platforms available for Assistant integration depend on your account type, edition, and administrator policies. Some platforms are not available by default and appear only after the corresponding switches are enabled. Different users may see different lists.
Open Assistant Settings to see all platforms you can currently integrate.
Not sure which one to choose? For office scenarios in China, WeChat is recommended. You can complete the binding by scanning a QR code without any development credentials.
For overseas teams, Slack / Telegram / Discord is recommended.
III. Use Cases
On the go: Use your phone to have WorkBuddy AI on your computer process files.
In a meeting: Quickly have WorkBuddy AI generate meeting minutes.
On your commute: Arrange in advance for WorkBuddy AI to prepare work materials.
Temporary needs: Send tasks anytime, anywhere, and check the results when you return.
IV. Enabling Assistant
1. Open WorkBuddy AI.
2. Go to Assistant Settings: Click your profile picture in the lower-left corner > Settings > Assistant Settings, or click the gear icon in the Assistant panel on the left.
3. Select the platform you want to integrate from the integration list, and click Connect.
4. Complete the configuration as prompted. For QR code-based integrations, scan the QR code directly. For credential-based integrations, enter the corresponding Token / App ID / App Secret.
During configuration, the status shows "Connecting" and changes to "Connected" upon success (displayed as "Bound" in WeChat).
Note:
Click Unbind on the corresponding integration card. After confirmation, the current configuration becomes invalid, and you can rebind it.
V. Precautions
Prerequisites
When Assistant is used, your computer must remain powered on and running WorkBuddy AI.
A normal network connection is required.
If your computer locks the screen or enters sleep mode automatically, enable "Allow Running When Locked" in Settings > System Settings > Lock Screen Remote. Otherwise, remote tasks may be interrupted after the screen is locked.
Configuration Differences
WeChat only requires QR code scanning for binding, with no development credentials needed.
For Slack, Telegram, and Discord, you need to first create an app or bot on the corresponding platform.
Account Requirements
WeChat has minimum requirements for the client and WeChat version. For details, see the prerequisites in the integration guide.
Do not bind the same bot repeatedly.
A WeCom bot cannot be used as both an assistant channel and an automation push channel, because the two connections will override each other and mix messages. Bind different bots for these two purposes.
