Cloud Native API Gateway is a high-performance, highly available gateway product launched by Tencent Cloud based on an open-source microservices gateway. It helps reduce part of the development and Ops workload for users who build their own gateways. As the traffic entry point for cloud-based microservices architectures, Cloud Native API Gateway integrates features such as request routing, API management, traffic monitoring, and access control. It is a key component in microservices architectures.
TSF provides a cloud-native gateway service based on the open-source Kong. By integrating scenarios such as canary release, traffic limiting, and security control, it offers a pluggable gateway feature for microservices and cloud-native architectures.
Product Features
Compatibility with open-source gateways: It uses an open-source gateway kernel and is compatible with mainstream open-source gateway versions (such as Kong 3.X; for the specific list of supported versions, refer to the product documentation). This enables quick integration and reduces the complexity of building your own gateway.
High Performance and High Reliability: It provides instances of various specifications, supports elastic scaling, and can handle business traffic scenarios with relatively high concurrency.
Optimize cost structure: The gateway is hosted on the platform using Tencent Cloud's underlying resources, eliminating the need for users to maintain the underlying gateway infrastructure. This reduces Ops investment (the specific amount of savings varies by business scenario).
Exclusive features of Tencent Cloud: Cloud Native API Gateway supports standard integration with Tencent Cloud environments and products and exclusive gateway plugins developed by Tencent Cloud.
